The University of Central Arkansas Bears roared to a 41-17 victory over The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions on Saturday. UCA showcased their offensive firepower, racking up an impressive 614 total yards while holding UAPB to just 272.

The lions struck first in the opening quarter, with Jalen Jennings 1 yard td run but the bears answer back with a Jalen Washington 9-yard touchdown to take. UCA exploded for 14 points in the second quarter, including key drives that highlighted their balanced attack, and added a field goal from UAPB to make it 20-10 at halftime.

Coming out of the break, Central Arkansas kept the pressure on, scoring another touchdown in the third to extend their lead to 27-10. The fourth quarter sealed the deal with two more scores from the Bears, while Pine Bluff managed a late touchdown to avoid a shutout in the final frame.

Despite committing three turnovers, UCA's defense was stingy, limiting the Golden Lions to only 12 first downs and forcing them into tough third-down situations (7-of-16 conversions). The Bears, on the other hand, moved the chains efficiently with 32 first downs and controlled the clock for over 37 minutes of possession time.

This win marks another chapter in the in-state rivalry, where UCA has now won the last three meetings against UAPB. For the Golden Lions, it's a tough follow-up to their season-opening blowout loss to Texas Tech, as they look to regroup in SWAC play..
