The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions men's basketball team defeated the Texas Southern University Tigers the score of 74-66. This win mark

their third consecutive Southwestern Athletic Conference

win and improving their record to 6-10 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

In the first half the Golden Lions built a early lead with their defense and scoring leading them to 11 points on fast break. Halftime the lions lead 34-25. In the final half the lions extended their lead with an 8-0 run while holding Texas Southern 40.7% from field goal shooting and 14.7 % in 3pt shooting. The lions controlled the tempo rest game forcing 10 steals into 18 points in turnovers.

Four Golden Lions players had double digit scoring Jaquan Scott who finished with 18 points and two steals,Milhan Charles finished with 13 points and 4 rebounds,Ramel Lyold Jr finished with 14 points and 2 rebounds,and Quion Willams who had great game finished with a double double he 16 points and career high 17 rebounds.
