The Number One undefeated seed Indiana Hoosiers dominated the Numeber Five Oregeon Duck with final score of 56-22. Indiana advanced to the College Football National Championship against Miami on January 19 at HardTock Stadium in Miami home field, marking their first ever appearance and becoming the first team with 28 points or more victories in history.

Indiana’s defense set the tone with eleven seconds in the first quarter with a D’Angelo Pounds pick six for a 25 yard touchdown and forced three turnovers. While Fernado Mendoza threw five touchdown passes despite the loss Oregon had 378 total yards to Indiana 363.

Fernado Mendoza was named offensive MVP after he threw five touchdown passes for then incompletions. While D’Angelo Pounds was named defensive MVP had six tackles and one interception(25 yard return). The Hoosiers are aiming for the Big Ten third straight national championship win ( 2023 Michigan won 2024 Ohio State won). This Indiana season win over Oregon this season following a 30-20 regular season win back in October.
