Pine Bluff,Arkansas-University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Golden Lions delivered a stunning 95-83 victory over the Alabama A&M (AAMU) Bulldogs. Entering the contest with a challenging 3-10 record, UAPB showcased resilience and offensive firepower to snap AAMU's 10-game winning streak, marking their first win against the Bulldogs since 2019. The Bulldogs struck first, building an early 9-6 lead on a PJ Eason layup. UAPB quickly countered with an 8-3 run, highlighted by Ahmad Johnson's three-pointer, to grab a 14-12 in the first half. AAMU reclaim the lead at 19-17 with Kintavious Dozier bucket . The Bulldogs extended their cushion to 27-23 on another Eason score with over eight minutes left in the first . After UAPB tied it at 27 with Jaquan Scott's free throws, AAMU pulled ahead again with Gabe Kincy's three-pointer and layup, followed by an Eason jumper, making it 36-29 with just over five minutes to go. However, the Golden Lions closed the half strong on a 12-5 run, forcing a 41-41 tie at halftime .

The second half belonged to UAPB, who exploded out of the break with a 10-2 run, to establishing control few minutes in the second. AAMU trimmed the deficit to 55-52 with Koron Davis jumper , but UAPB answered back with Scott's bucket pushed the lead to 64-54.Quion Williams and Ramel Lloyd Jr. extended the margin to 78-63 with 6:10 remaining. The Golden Lions outscored the Bulldogs 17-10 in the final minutes, maintaining composure amid fouls and free throws to secure the 12-point win. UAPB's second-half shooting 70.8% from the field-proved , while their defense limited AAMU to 44.8% shooting.

UAPB's success was balanced scoring and efficient perimeter play, with five players in double figures.
